Join Raven Unit

Raven Unit is Believe Nation’s personnel recovery and tactical extraction squad — a small, themed unit for members who want their sessions structured, their tactics quiet, and their stories worth telling afterward. If that sounds like your kind of flying, tell us below.

The Unit

A themed small-squad unit inside Believe Nation. We specialize in extraction-based tactics with a focus on stealth gameplay and active roleplaying — a structured way to play, not a second org.

The Sessions

Raven Unit is most commonly in active session while taking part in greater Believe Nation events, or by hosting and attending Flash Events. Sessions are structured: a plan going in, a story coming out.

The Output

Fun times and epic moments first — then lore. Operations feed the unit’s Field Log and are cut into high-production-quality videos. What we do in the black gets written down and shown off.

The Structure

The selection process is deliberately light. We maintain approximately five core operators; everyone else flies from the Reserve Pool and is called up as seats open or detachments spin up.

In every session — org events or Flash Events — roleplay, immersion, and clandestine tactics are expected while operating with the Raven Unit patch. In character on the net, quiet on the approach, professional on the ground.

Straight Answers

The questions org members actually ask — answered plainly, no radio voice.

Out of game — what is Raven Unit, operationally?

A small themed squad inside Believe Nation: four or five members who already play together regularly, adding a structure of play and roleplay on top of Star Citizen sessions. Operations get planned, flown in character, and turned into Field Log posts and high-production videos. It adds an immersive layer to game nights — the output is fun.

Isn’t this duplicating the combat or air divisions we already have?

No. Raven Unit is squad-scale — a handful of operators, not a division — and it remains subject to all existing org leadership and direction. In events it slots into one side of a planned operation under existing command. It doesn’t run events, replace a division, or stand up a rival command structure.

So what’s the point?

To take 4–5 people who commonly play together and apply a structure of play and roleplay around Star Citizen and immersion: a plan going in, roles on the ground, stealth-first tactics, and staying in character throughout — then output the result as Field Log lore and videos. Structured sessions, epic moments, fun.

What if 15 people want to be part of Raven Unit?

Official doctrine is small-squad: about five core seats, which in practice go to whoever trains most consistently with the unit as the unit. Everyone else is welcome as a Reserve participant — reservists join the fun as seats and detachments open. Nobody gets gatekept from a session; the core just stays small.

How does selection work?

It’s deliberately light. Submit the interest form, a Raven reaches out on Discord, and you fly a session or two from the Reserve Pool. Core seats develop naturally from consistent participation — there’s no tryout gauntlet. One thing to know going in: the bar to join isn’t high, but Raven Unit does intend to roll out its own traditions and ceremony over time — how operators are received into the unit, how milestones are marked, how the patch is earned and worn. Taking part in that tradition and ceremony is expected of every Raven Operator wearing the Unit Patch. It’s part of what makes the unit a unit rather than a fireteam of convenience.

What’s the time commitment?

Light. The unit is most commonly in active session during greater Believe Nation events, or when hosting and attending Flash Events. There are no attendance mandates — but core seats naturally follow the people who show up and train.

Do I have to roleplay the whole time?

Only in session. When the unit is active and the patch is on display, roleplay, immersion, and clandestine tactics are expected. Outside of sessions you’re just you — participation is always opt-in.

Do I need a stealth ship or a special loadout?

No. Roles and hulls are arranged per operation from the unit’s doctrine and whoever’s hangar fits the tasking. Interest, teamwork, and staying in character matter more than what you own.

Will I end up in the videos?

Probably — that’s half the point. Operations may be recorded and cut into videos and written into the Field Log. Flying a session means you’re comfortable appearing in the output.

Eligibility
